TRIP IN DETAILS

On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. After a short rest, start your holiday to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos with visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. Climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. Explore the Night market where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by the hilltribe and local people surrounding Luang Prabang.

Enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temples of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well as exploring the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by devoted pilgrims. Along the way, we will stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where the local rice wine is produced. On return, we take a short drive to another small village Ban Phanom, which famous for its hand weaving.

Morning visit the National Museum (closed Tuesdays) at the former Royal Palace which displays a collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through to the last sovereign. There will also be time for us to look around the Central Market. After visiting these sites in the morning, there may be free time (depending on your flight) to venture into town and stroll around the shopping area.
Free time till being picked up to Luang Prabang airport for a flight to Hanoi. When you arrive at Noi Bai International airport in Hanoi, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel in the downtown. The remainder of the day will be your own.

This city tour of Hanoi takes in essential sites which will commence from your hotel lobby at 08.30 am. In the morning, you’ll visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex including the Mausoleum, his former stilt-house residence, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh Museum; the Temple of Literature – Vietnam’s first university dating back to 1070.
After lunch at a local Vietnamese restaurant, you’ll continue visiting the Museum of Ethnology, widely acknowledged as the best in the country, containing an extensive display of life-size structures dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority groups; Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake – the Ngoc Son Temple is set on a tiny island on Hoan Kiem Lake, its history dating back to the 13th century; a cyclo ride for 1 hour touring through the narrow, chaotic streets of the Old Quarter – a must for any visitor to Hanoi! The day finishes with a traditional performance of the famous Vietnamese water puppets.
Note: the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed all day on Monday and Fridays, as well as from 15th June to 15th August (approx.) for annual conservation.

After breakfast, you’ll leave for Halong Bay with a refreshment break en route. Meet the crew upon boarding the traditional wooden junk, then relax and enjoy lunch while the boat heads towards the secluded islands. Visit ancient limestone caves and go sea kayaking and swimming if the weather permits. Return to the junk refreshed and invigorated and relax on deck with a drink to watch the sunset. Enjoy a freshly prepared seafood dinner under the stars.

Enjoy an early morning swim (if weather permits) followed by breakfast. The tour then visit one of the famous caves in the middle of the bay before cruising back to the main harbor for the 4 hour drive straight to Noi Bai airport in Hanoi for a late afternoon flight to Danang. On arrival, met and transferred to your selected hotel in Hoi An.

8:30 a.m., your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby and show you around the old town. You’ll start a walking tour with numerous places of interest: the 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, a museum and the colorful local market. Following the narrow lanes, you walk along tiny streets with houses influenced by Chinese, Japanese, French and European architectures.
After your walking tour, your time will be at leisure to wander around or go shopping. Your lunch will be at a local restaurant. The remainder of the day will be your own.

08:00 Guide pick up guest at Hotel, ride bicycles to Tra Que Village.
08:30 Take around the vegetable village and join in the daily activities with local farmer there.
09:30 Continue to take bicycles along De Vong River to Hoi An Beach wharf.
10:00 Embark on the boat to Cua Dai sand dune , enjoy casting net show and learn how to cast net by local fisher man.
11:00 Continue to Cam Thanh Water coconut village , have a brief introduce to the history there.
11:20 Take on the basket boat along the water coconut river, Fisherman will teach you how to catch the crabs ( 02 persons/boat ).
Divide group into 2 teams for basket boat racing and catching crabs. There will be a lovely present for winner.
12:20 Embark on the boat, enjoy the folk songs show by local people there.
12:30 Enjoy special local food such as pancake, “Tam Huu” spring roll , fried fish …After lunch, learn how to make funny tools by water coconut leaf.
14:00 Continue to the ancient town , experience the daily life of fisher man along Thu Bon River
15:00 Get on Bach Dang wharf, return to your hotel by bike.

Drive to Danang airport for a morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
Embark on a half day guided city tour starting with the War Remnants Museum – a real eye-opener to a part of Vietnam’s proud history, followed by the Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Palace for the president of the South of Vietnam, the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post office to get good shots for our memory of the big, modern city of Vietnam. The tour ends with a visit of Ben Thanh market for an insight into where locals shop. Then you’ll will be back to hotel.

An 1,5 hour drive will take you to the Cu Chi Tunnels where you will visit the amazing network of underground tunnels was used during the Vietnam War by the Viet Cong. This huge construction was a habitation for villagers in the war time. With 3 levels of depth, it was never discovered by the US during the Vietnam War despite its proximity to Saigon. Visit the fighting tunnel system with your local guide.
Drive to Tay Ninh which was once the historical center of the Cao-Dai religion. Founded in 1926, Cao-Dai is a combination of Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism. At the Holy See Temple, you will have the chance to watch the worshipers in their long white tunics during noon mass. From Tay Ninh, you will return to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving in the late afternoon.

Your time will be your own until being picked up to Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City for your regional flight to Siem Reap.
Arriving at Siem Reap airport, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel. Afternoon embark on a Temple tour, of which Angkor Wat is a key element. You’ll start with exploring Angkor Wat – the largest, and for most people, the most impressive temple in the complex. You might also consider a walk to the summit of Phnom Bakheng Hill will afford a panorama of the whole complex lit by the rays of the setting sun (if weather permits).

The day will be devoted to the Temple complex. Visit Angkor Thom, starting with the Bayon, a bizarre structure of several architectural changes reflecting a switch fromdHinduism (the foundations) to Buddhism (the superstructure). Then visit the Elephant and Leper King Terraces followed by the Baphoun Temple, which already end of an eight-year multi-million dollar restoration programme. After lunch, you’ll also see Ta Prohm, strangled by massive tree roots and typical of the condition of the whole complex when French naturalist Henri Mouhot discovered it in 1860. Your guide will then show you the Prasat Kravan (also known as the Cardomom Sanctuary) and Srah Srang lake and landing terrace. The Srah Srang is less touristed and could be sunrise alternative to Angkor Wat.
