MEET SEN
Sen, whose name beautifully combines the words for apricot and lotus blooms, was born in a small village in Bac Ninh Province just outside Hanoi. This region is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, including numerous temples and traditions, with Quan Ho folk songs being particularly notable.
Sen’s passion for her cultural roots runs deep. Along with her mother, sister, and daughter, she is an enthusiastic singer of Quan Ho. These traditional folk melodies, which express a wide range of human emotions, are close to her heart. Sen and her family never miss an opportunity to share the beauty of Quan Ho with others through their performances.
While deeply connected to her heritage, Sen has always loved travel and adventure. This passion has shaped her career in the tourism industry, where she has gained extensive experience in various roles. Starting as a front office staff member, she worked her way through different positions in operations teams, constantly expanding her knowledge and skills.
Sen’s adventurous spirit and meticulous attention to detail led her to spend considerable time conducting site inspections. These experiences have given her an intimate understanding of various destinations, allowing her to provide invaluable insights to travelers.
Now, as a personal travel consultant, Sen has found her true calling. She takes great joy in crafting unique experiences for her clients, drawing from her wealth of knowledge and firsthand experiences. Her role allows her to combine her love for travel with her passion for sharing her culture and experiences with others.
One of Sen’s favorite aspects of her job is the opportunity to meet with travelers visiting Hanoi. She often joins them for a welcome dinner or a casual coffee, eager to share her local insights and ensure they have the best possible experience in her beloved homeland.
Despite her busy career, Sen has managed to balance her professional life with her personal one. She is now the proud mother of three children, sharing with them her love for both tradition and adventure.

First let me say a very strong thank you for all that you have done for the planning and handling the details of a trip to Vietnam that started back in 2019 just before the arrival of Covid-19. As you remember we had to call that one off, or rather delay it for a while, at least until the world understood the effects of Covid and how best to handle them, country by country. It wasn’t until about the second year of Covid that it was apparent to the world that Vietnam had the # 2 best care and prevention program of all the nations of the world! Three cheers!
Sen and Tuan worked as a team to bring all the details together into a pleasing whole that made for a very satisfying adventure/journey.
Each of the guides that you selected were experts in their geographic territories, the history and cultural aspects in their areas of responsibility and Ray and Ed and I enjoyed traveling with them and learning details of each area that we had not known earlier and would have been hard-pressed to learn accurately on our own. Again, cheers and thanks to each member of the team you put together.
I don’t clearly remember how we managed to connect with Absolute Asia Tours but Ray and Ed and I consider ourselves fortunate to have done so four years ago and to have made a successful trip with your expertise this year.
