Highlights of Laos

This multi destination tour combines the World Heritage city of Luang Prabang, the Plain of Jars site at Xieng Khouang and the pleasant capital of Vientiane. Although a small country Laos is rich with attractions, culture and mystery, Laos preserves its unique heritage in many community and religious activities and festivals such as the tradition of “Alms Giving”, the daily procession of the offerings of alms to hundreds of saffron clad monks at dawn in Luang Prabang. There are many intriguing and mysterious destinations such as the ancient Plain of Jars and the bizarre Buddha Park

Luang Prabang Discovery

This morning you have the option and opportunity to rise early and participate in the daily morning ritual of Alms Giving, you will experience saffron-clad monks collecting offerings or ‘Alms’ from faithful local residents. Xieng Khuang

Xieng Khuang, hemmed in by a ring of dramatic mountains, including the country’s tallest peak, Phu Bia, is best known for the treeless flatlands and crater-ridden landscape of the Plain of Jars.

Pakse

Capitalizing on its location at the confluence of the Xe Don and the Mekong rivers, roughly halfway between the Thai border and the fertile Bolaven Plateau, PAKSE is the far south’s biggest city.

Vientiane

There is no denying that Vientiane is one of Southeast Asia’s quietest capital cities. Hugging a wide bend of the Mekong River, it looks more like a rambling collection of villages, dotted with a few grandiose monuments, than the engine room of a nation.

Vang Vieng

Change comes slowly to Laos, but Vang Vieng, the once-sleepy town that reclines on the east bank of the Nam Song River between towering limestone karsts, is something of a rare exception.

Luang Prabang

A mountain kingdom for more than a thousand years and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Luang Prabang is endowed with a legacy of ancient red-roofed temples and French-Indochinese architecture.
