Centrally situated in Luang Prabang with just a 15-minute drive from International Airport, a 3-minute walk from the Night Market, Villa Chitdara earned their good reputation for this favorable location. This building is the best representative of Lao architecture with wooden furnishings surrounded by tropical gardens. Each of 25 rooms features a private balcony with either garden or street view which is a nice compensation for its quite small size. Moreover, the hotel is on the morning ‘Alms Giving’ route by the local monks so if you can make a 5.30am wake up call, this is a memorable experience.
The bar offers a selection of drinks. You will be surprised by how good those drinks are compared to the humble look of the bar. There is no swimming pool but what made it up to us is the lovely setting of the restaurant where they serve breakfasts every morning. Imagine having a cup of coffee in a relaxing tropical garden hearing the song of birds. Isn’t it wonderful?
One extra benefit is L’Elephant Restaurant- one of the most famous restaurant in Luang Prabang is just down the road. Come check it out if you have chance.
